My name is Shaina Dhankhar, I recently completed my 12th Board examination with 95 percent in the best of five, a committed and focused student of the Humanities from Xavier’s High School, Gurugram, Haryana. I am now charged to start my undergraduate studies in Political Science. I have a keen interest in Political Science, and I also have a strong inclination to work in the Indian Civil Services. As a Civil Service aspirant with Public Administration and policymaking in India.
I have always looked for ways to grow holistically throughout my academic career, not just in the classroom but also through a variety of extracurricular activities and social, economic, and community-based activities. My involvement in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences, like the one at Apricity University, where I received a Special Appreciation and Recognition. All these activities have paved the way, which has led to the enhancement of my critical thinking, diplomatic reasoning, and public speaking abilities. I have now developed a polished mindset to understand the nuances of international agreements and multilateral cooperation as a result of these experiences. Thus, these activities have enhanced my cognitive level and skill set, too.
I’ve also taken an active part in a number of competitive sports. In addition to representing my school in district-level basketball and CBSE judo, I was chosen to compete in the IPSC Skating Nationals. Even while I might not have always placed on the podium, these experiences gave me important insights about self-improvement, sportsmanship, and perseverance. In a similar vein, taking part in knowledge-based activities like the SDG Quiz has increased my understanding of sustainability and the global development objectives, two topics that are crucial for any future public servant.
Meaningful community and industry engagement activities have reinforced my dedication to service and social responsibility. I worked as a volunteer for the Lotus Petal Foundation, an NGO that helps impoverished kids, as part of the Community Engagement (CE) Program. I gained first hand knowledge of the difficulties marginalized populations confront as a result of this experience, which also strengthened my conviction in the effectiveness of social intervention and education. My grasp of institutional functioning and leadership was further expanded when I was exposed to real-world company practices through DRiV Tenecco, Palwal’s Industry Engagement (IE) Program.
I firmly think that lifelong learning and development are essential for both individual achievement and making a significant contribution to society. I approach every opportunity with honesty and a feeling of purpose, whether it be social, athletic, or intellectual. I am steadfast in my resolve to serve the country with viable solutions, possibly inclusive growth, responsible governance, and considerate leadership.
